The El Masarawi Centre South Africa offers a variety of courses focused on producing well educated, well balanced, and well mannered Quranic scholars in line with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah of Muhammad (PBUH). EMC SA offers both full time Hifth and Part-time Qiraa-aat Lessons. See below for a detailed list of all courses available.

Full Time Hifth

Our full time Hifth courses are offered at our SchaapKraal main campus Monday to Thursday from 8am to 2pm and Fridays from 8am to 11am. We offer a cohesive curriculum covering the following subjects.

Full-time student fees are R14 400 p/a or R1 200 for 12 months.

Tajweed

We teach the syllabus of the El Masarawi Centre which includes:

Tuhfatul Atfaal
Jazariyah
Fathul Majeed fi Ilm Al Tajweed
Al Mafaatih Al Thahabiyyah

Arabic

Our Arabic courses provide individuals with the ability to use conversational Arabic and basic grammar.

Tafsir

We aim to convey the explanations and eloquence of the Quran through drawing on the Kalimat Al Quran and Jalaalayn of Imam Al Suyuti.

Fiqh

We cultivate a primer and comprehensive understanding of Islamic Laws using Matn Abi Shuja' on Shaafi Fiqh.

Hifth with Academics

Our full time Hifth courses are extended to include academics aligned with the CAPS syllabus for students 16 and younger, covering grades 6 - 10.

Please note: This program is compulsory for students under the age of 16 in compliance with WCED regulations.

The extended syllabus focuses on all components of the Hifth program with the addition of:

Mathematics
English
Sciences
Afrikaans

Full-time Hifth with academics fees are R27 000 p/a or R2 250 for 12 months.

Ulumul Quran Diploma

This is a 2-year program covering comprehensive Quranic studies and Islamic discipline. The course is offered at our SchaapKraal main campus Monday to Thursday from 8am to 2pm and Fridays from 8am to 11am. Our curriculum extends on the Hifth program by including the following subjects.

Hadith
Seerah
Islamic History

Full-time Ulumul Quran diploma fees are R18 000 p/a or R1 500 for 12 months.

Part Time Programs

Part Time Madrassah

Our part time madrassah is offered at our Wynberg campus during the week from 3pm to 5pm. We offer a comprehensive syllabus which focuses on:

Quranic Literacy
Daily Duas
Fiqh.
We are in the process of rolling out additional short courses and workshops.

Part Time Qiraa-aat

We offer a study of the ten Qiraa-aat or individual Qiraa-aat on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm at our Wynberg campus.

Our Qiraa-aat course focuses on memorization and explanation of the following texts:

Tuhfatul Atfaal of Al Jamzuri
Al Salsabil Al Shafi
Muqaddimah Al Jazariyah
The Shaatibiyyah
The Durrah

Saturday Classes

Our Saturday classes are held at our Wynberg Campus (46 Douglas Road) from 9am to 12:45pm. Tajweed and Arabic are the focal areas of these classes; with our courses providing students with invaluable knowledge on poems and books.

Our one year Arabic course is aimed at equipping our students with skills to successfully engage in Arabic dialogue as well as understanding the formation and meaning of Arabic words. Our syllabus focuses on delivering exceptional:
